New York Festivals Announces 2008 AME Awards Finalists

November 18, 2008: New York Festivals announced the Finalists for 2008's ame awards®, for advertising & marketing effectiveness. The AME Awards, now in its fourteenth year, honors both the effectiveness and the creativity of advertising and marketing on a global scale. This year's esteemed Grand Jury selected 82 entries worldwide as Finalists in the competition.

Top honors in this international competition went to Germany, who took the lead with 32 award winning Finalists, followed by the United States with 24. In addition, the Philippines received five Finalist certificates, India garnered four wins, with the Slovak Republic, Switzerland and Malaysia each tied with three Finalist entries. The United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Austria, Brazil, Australia, Israel, Japan and Northern Ireland were also recognized as Finalists. All AME Finalists will go on to a second round of judging to determine the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medalists.

AME's Executive Director, Leslie Rasimas, commented on the competition's mission to award excellence. "Advertising and marketing are most often rewarded for creativity. The AME Awards honors work that is proven to produce results. We award campaigns that are not only creative, but strategic and effective as well. Perfectly balanced and results-oriented campaigns are what we recognize."

Worldwide, agencies and marketing firms are going above and beyond what they have done in the past, delivering results and showing their clients, and the world, what they are capable of," remarked AME Judge Caitlin Kelly, Executive Marketing Director, Millions Advertising.

The AME Awards received entries from over 30 countries, spanning 5 continents. Jurors were selected from the industry's top creative professionals, often the recipients of awards themselves, who understand the thought processes involved in creating winning campaigns. Jury members meticulously evaluate each campaign on how well it meets its objectives in its category and its impact in the marketplace, on a local, regional, national or international level.

The AME Award winning Medalists will be announced later this week and all winning entries will be featured in the Showcase section of our website at www.ameawards.com. In addition, all winning entries are promoted by our network of representatives in 62 countries around the world.
