Ilona Janashvili is the Director of Integrated Strategy of the highly awarded Leo Burnett Melbourne agency. Ilona has a unique advantage in having spent her career working in client side communication strategy, advertising planning and media strategy in Australia and North America. This breadth of experience has enriched her appreciation and ability to influence and guide powerful ideas that are equally creative as well as highly effective. Ilona has worked on powerhouse global brands such as Honda Motors, Virgin Money, Subaru, Mars Pet Foods, BUPA and Proctor & Gamble North America. She has also worked extensively in financial services and FMCG. In her current role, Ilona oversees the strategy development for Honda Motors, helping to revitalise the brand after a 10-year hiatus, 7-Eleven, iSelect (Australia’s largest online financial comparison site), SPC-Ardmona Australia’s largest cannery, General Mills food brands, Victoria University and a range of not-for-profit clients. Ilona’s unwavering commitment is to drive compelling ideas and results. This focus has earned a wide range of effectiveness awards both locally and internationally, including the American Effectiveness Awards, Asia Pac Effies, APMA, Australian Account Planning Group finalists and a brilliant outcome at the 2015 Australian Effies, with Leo Burnett Melbourne having been the only agency to have won three effectiveness awards across three separate clients: 7-Eleven, Honda and SPC. Leo Burnett’s excellent work on SPC social has also seen it become a global finalist (1 of 3 winners in the world) in social strategy in the WARC (World Advertising Research Centre) 2015 Social Prize Awards. Ilona has also been a regular judge for the Australian Effies.
